The Basarin Cru is in the village of Neive, with a southwest facing direction at an altitude of approx. 300 meters about sea level. The 100% Nebbiolo grapes for this Barbaresco are harvested in October by hand and carefully chosen for vinification. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled steel tanks and aging takes place over three years in large oak barrels. There is a further year of aging in the bottle.
Garnet red color, which over the years turns burnt orange, offers spicy and berry aromas. Warm, with a strong flavour with a long finish. The wine is ready to drink immediately, and at any time over the next 20 years. Perfect for game and red meat.
The winery uses no herbicides, pesticides or additives in the production of their wines.
