As owner of the largest holdings of grand cru vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin, Hubert Camus is known for incredible wines. The Camus family has been producing wines in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1832. The domaine is made up of 18 hectares (two-thirds of it being grand cru).
Hubert Camus still uses the old school methods that have been passed down from his ancestors: Hand-picking, traditional vinification, 14-18 months’ "elevage" in oak barrels. The wines are unfiltered, so there is often sediment in these crus. This adds to the flavour—as well as the cellar-ability—of these wines.
