Medium red-ruby. A hint of stewed fruits along with balsamic oils complement red cherry and super ripe berry liqueur on the nose. Then it becomes more energetic in the mouth, in spite of its super ripe red fruit and spice flavours, with a serious tannic spine of tannins - leaving an impression of mounting austerity behind on the long, tactile back end.
There's plenty of fruit here but today the wine comes across as a bit youthfully aggressive, and we're not sure those tannins will ever resolve fully.
