This claret of great pedigree and character made in conjunction with the esteemed Hubert de Boüard of Château Angélus in Saint-Émilion, one of the most prestigious estates classified Premier Grand Cru Classé A status.
Perfumed, fresh and floral on the nose with pronounced blackberry and cassis fruit. The warmth and generosity of the vintage is apparent here, with luscious black fruits and a plush, rounded texture on the palate. Certainly more substance than we would expect at this level - this has a real presence with a sweetness to the fruit and subtle notes of spice. Becomes more and more expressive with time in the glass.

Mr. Hubert de Boüard de Laforest (Château Angélus) along with with Mr. Philippe Nunes (Technical Director of his Lalande de Pomerol vineyard La Fleur de Bouard) acquired this 6.6 hectares estate, which sits upon a clay and chalky plateau of Saint Sulplice and Cameyrac, as well as on the gravely clays of Montussan. This is a perfect terroir for the culture of Merlot. The vines overhang a small river, La Laurence, from which the wine took its name. The wine is aged 14 month in barrels and vats.
